SidelineHQ Notifications

SidelineHQ provides an SMS messaging service delivering team and event notifications to mobile devices. The service sends automated texts regarding:

  • Game and practice schedule changes or cancellations
  • RSVP and attendance reminders
  • Payment and fee reminders
  • Team announcements from coaches and admins
  • Account verification codes

Opt-In & Consent

Users provide consent by entering their phone number and enabling SMS notifications in their profile settings. Consent is not a condition of purchase or use of our service. You may use SidelineHQ with email-only or push notifications as an alternative.

How We Collect Consent

SMS consent is requested in two places: during account registration (optional, unchecked by default) and in notification settings at any time. Both flows are shown below.

  • Consent is never pre-checked and is not required to use the service.
  • Users can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message or disabling SMS in their account settings.
  • Phone numbers and SMS consent are not shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
  • Message frequency varies by team activity — typically under 30 messages/month.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your team activity and notification preferences. You can control which notifications you receive through your profile settings. You will receive no more than approximately 30 messages per month depending on your teams and activity level.

Sample Messages

Below are examples of the types of messages you may receive from SidelineHQ:

  • Schedule change: "SidelineHQ: Tomorrow's 6pm practice for Riverside U14 Travel has been cancelled due to weather. Reply STOP to opt out."
  • Game reminder: "SidelineHQ: Reminder — Riverside U14 vs. Lakewood at Memorial Field, Sat 3/28 at 10am. Please update your RSVP. Reply STOP to opt out."
  • Payment reminder: "SidelineHQ: Spring season fee of $150 is due by 4/1 for Riverside U14 Travel. Pay online at sidelinehq.com. Reply STOP to opt out."

Message & Data Rates

SidelineHQ does not charge for SMS messages. Standard carrier messaging and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless carrier for details about your specific plan.

How to Opt Out

You can stop receiving SMS messages at any time by:

  1. Texting STOP to the sending number. You will receive a one-time confirmation message.
  2. Updating your notification preferences in your account settings to disable SMS notifications.
